Prosanctus Inferi is a one-man extreme metal project blending all the worst parts of black metal, death metal, and grindcore into a blurry dreamlike smear. Crudely recorded, relentlessy bleak and lyrically foul, this album is a prime specimen of what is referred to by the phrase "old school," right down to the multisyllabic song titles ("Pontifical Undulations of Blasphemic Gesticulation") and the three-minute cap on song length.
